Meet PHAiTO: Ai-powered photo editing built for photographers
Ai photo editing has stopped being a novelty. For high-volume photographers — weddings, portraits, families, real estate, studio work — it's increasingly part of the actual production workflow. The question is no longer whether to use it, but which tool earns a permanent spot in your post-shoot routine.
This is a quick tour of what PHAiTO does today: where it fits, what it handles, and how it stays out of the way of your style.
One app for cull and edit
PHAiTO covers both halves of the post-shoot workflow in a single desktop app. Drop in your RAW files or a Lightroom Catalog and PHAiTO returns a culled, edited result you can open in Lightroom Classic or Adobe Camera Raw — no export, no format conversion. Typical turnaround for a 1,000-image catalog is around 20 minutes, available 24/7.
Personalize without a long onboarding
Personalization in PHAiTO doesn't require you to disappear for a week training a model. There are two paths:
- Upload a preset — instant. PHAiTO uses your preset as a starting point and adapts it on every image.
- Train a Personal Profile — upload a minimum of 2,500 of your own edited images. Your Profile is ready within 48 hours and produces results closer to your hand on every job after that.
Either path keeps your existing style intact, rather than nudging your work toward someone else's average.
Pre-built Looks for when you don't have a profile
Out of the box PHAiTO ships with 11+ pre-built Looks — Classic, Film (Light & Airy and Dark & Moody), Editorial, Lush, Cinematic, Punchy, Black & White, JPG, and dedicated Home / Real Estate styles. Each Look is trained on more than 1,000,000 professional edits and behaves like a finishing style, not a one-click filter.
Culling that respects your taste
Culling is a first-class feature, not a side project — and it's currently free through August 2026. PHAiTO scores frames for sharpness, eyes-open, exposure, and duplicates, and writes the results back to your catalog as stars, flags, or labels you can review and override in Lightroom Classic. You stay in control; PHAiTO just removes the part of the job nobody enjoys.
Cropping, straightening, and Ai masking
Smart cropping and straightening considers composition — group framing, limb positioning, and editorial standards — rather than naively centring the subject. Ai masking handles the per-image work that usually eats your evening: subject dodging, background burning, teeth whitening, and face and body smoothing, each with manual override so you can keep what works and adjust what doesn't.
Consistency across mixed lighting
Because PHAiTO sees a job as a sequence rather than a string of unrelated images, white balance and contrast stay consistent across full sessions — including the messy stretches with mixed natural light, flash, and shifting venues that usually break batch tools.
Pricing without the lock-in
PHAiTO is pay-as-you-go from $0.07 per image, no subscription required. If your volume justifies it, optional editing subscriptions start at $39/month. Either way, you can try the whole thing first: the free trial includes 1,000 images and doesn't ask for a credit card. See full pricing →
Where it fits
PHAiTO is a fit if you shoot enough volume that culling and base edits are the slowest part of your week, you want personalization without a multi-week onboarding, and you'd rather pay for what you use than commit to another monthly subscription. If that sounds like your business, the easiest next step is to put a real catalog through it.
